Locks

Most insurance companies and the police now recommend that 5 lever locks to BS 3621 are fitted to all external doors, and in many cases insurance claims will be rejected if this is not the case.

Below is a small selection of locks that are available:

5 Lever Mortice Deadlock

These locks are fitted in a slot (mortice) in the edge of the door. They are locked/unlocked by a key from either side. Suitable for all external doors.

Multipoint Locks

These locks are particularly suited for double glazing doors. They operate by lifting the handle to engage the multipoint locking system and turning a key to lock.

5 Lever Sash Locks

A mortice with deadlocking and latch operation. Deadbolt is locked/unlocked by key from either side. Latch is withdrawn by handle from either side. Suitable for all external door.

Night latch

Key operated from outside, handle operated from inside. Bolt can be deadlocked or held back by snib from inside. For added security against duplication of keys the cylinder can have a registration attached to it.
